Some people are surprised to learn that cremation does not preclude a funeral with all the traditional aspects of the ceremony, there are many options available for those who choose cremation. Visitation or viewing with a funeral ceremony and church or memorial service are options to be considered. Below are some brief descriptions of some of the different cremation services available.
| CREMATION WITH TRADITIONAL FUNERAL |
| |
For those choosing cremation the visitation and funeral service need not be any different than if burial was desired. Families can have a visitation with the deceased viewed in a casket followed by a funeral service.
|
| CREMATION WITH MEMORIAL SERVICE |
| | This option is available for those who choose cremation but do not want a visitation and funeral service with the deceased's body present. At the time of death an immediate cremation takes place at the earliest time allowable. A funeral service is held afterwards, usually with the cremains present. |

WHAT DO I DO WITH THE CREMATED REMAINS?
|
| | Most families choose to have the cremains placed into an urn after the cremation process. Urns are typically kept at home or buried in a cemetery. For those wishing to keep a small portion of the cremains, keepsake urns and keepsake jewelry are available. |
